Aromatherapy Facial Steam

Want a Spa facial at home?

An aromatherapy facial steam relaxes the mind, softens skin, opens pores for easy black head extractions or for better product penetration.
Bonus: Making this had my whole house smelling wonderful!
Ingredients:
4 Cups water
2-3 drops lavender essential oil

STEP ONE: Add lavender flowers and water into a medium pot. Bring to boil.

STEP TWO: Pour boiling water into a large heatproof bowl. Add essential oil.

STEP THREE: Make a towel tent over your head and the bowl with a large towel to capture the steam. Lift the towel as necessary to regulate the temperature.* Be careful to not burn yourself with the steam* Stay under the towel for 10 minutes to allow the steam to cleanse your pores.
Complete spa facial:
Step one: Cleanse 2x with facial cleanser.
Step two: Tone.
Step four: Facial steam for 10 min.
Step five: Blemish extractions.
Step six: Facial mask. (massage onto skin for 2-3 min than let sit for 10)
Step seven: Cleanse with facial cleanser.
Step eight: Tone.
Step nine: Apply any serums or creams than apply moisturizer.
Set aside a night of pampering, you deserve it!

  1. This is great, thanks! I always do this with Tea Tree Oil when I'm sick. I hadn't considered doing it this way for a facial treatment.

  5. Do you need to do this using dried lavender and lavender essential oil or is there a simpler way to do this? I am a college student and this seems like a good way to get rid of the blackheads that I have on my cheeks. Also how often should I do this?
