This is one of my husbands and my favorites! Great to make for gifts, use on salads or just for your snacking pleasure :)Ingredients:
-1 pound raw almonds
-1 egg white
-1 teaspoon cold water
-1 Cup sugar
-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1 teaspoon salt
-1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
-Parchment paper (wax paper will not work)
STEP ONE: Preheat the oven to 250
STEP TWO: Place 1 lb almonds in a large bowl. Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, and allspice in
separate bowl.
STEP THREE: In a small bowl add the egg white with water and beat with electric mixer until fluffy (3-5 min).
STEP FOUR: Add egg whites to almonds. Fold almonds into the egg whites until well coated.
STEP FIVE: And sugar mix to almonds, mix until evenly coated.
STEP SIX: Cut parchment paper to fit the size of your baking sheet. Spread almonds out (one layer) on sheet. Bake for one hour, allow five minutes to cool and enjoy! Store any leftovers in a
ziplock bag to maintain freshness.
